Rivertown Apartments is a family-focused affordable housing community located within the Rivermark master-planned neighborhood, developed on the historic site of the former Santa Clara Agnews Hospital. Rivertown is one of three affordable housing communities built by the Housing Authority as part of this vibrant, mixed-use development.

The broader Rivermark community includes more than 1,800 homes along with parks, an elementary school, retail and commercial centers, a Safeway market, restaurants, and other neighborhood amenities — creating a connected and convenient environment for families.

Rivertown features 100 apartment homes, including 70 two-bedroom and 30 three-bedroom residences, offered at below-market rents through the Tax Credit program. Tenant-based housing vouchers are accepted, and households must meet income eligibility requirements at or below 60% of Area Median Income (AMI).

Residents enjoy a variety of amenities designed to support family living and community engagement, including an on-site maintenance manager, community room, playground, basketball court, coin-operated laundry facilities, and apartments with private patios or balconies. An after-school program offering tutoring, crafts, and educational activities provides additional support for resident families.

Community Policies
Pets: Pets are welcome with a $300 pet fee per pet, with a maximum of two pets.
Smoking: Rivertown is a non-smoking community. Smoking is not permitted within apartments, common areas, or on the property grounds.
